About

Xiu (pronounced as Shoe) is a Zeta Floss who honestly doesn’t know what to do. She’s currently just aimlessly wandering through life and is pretty decent with the two jobs she has so far.

For her first job, she mainly works at a McDonald’s in the Zeta Clan. As for her second job, she works part-time at a Petpet Cafe. While she prefers her work at the Petpet Cafe more, the McDonald’s she works at can give her more hours (and more money as a result).

Surprisingly enough, she does seem to have enough free time in her schedule to still invest in her hobbies, which usually involve jamming out to all sorts of rock, punk, and metal music. She’s very into certain bands and can memorize lyrics by heart. She’ll also practice playing her electric guitar, which she’s actually pretty good at. However, she’ll mostly just play for fun and will probably crumble if she had to ever play professionally.

Personality

Xiu is reckless, impulsive, and stupid. She can definitely be loud, she doesn't exactly have a quiet voice, and will scream how she's feeling from the top of her lungs. She also tends to laugh with this loud "AHA!" On top of it all, she uses the word 'bro' a lot too. It's basically part of her everyday vocabulary. She's practically just hooting the word out toward anyone she gets acquainted with, regardless of their gender.

So yeah, she can be pretty annoying, but at least it's never boring to be around her. She serves as amusing entertainment to most of the people around her. Either that, or she just gives them anxiety with her energy and intensity. She just likes having fun, maybe a little bit too much at times. She's basically a kid that never grew up and is slowly having to learn that she needs to if she wants to keep getting by in life.

Despite getting into a lot of icky situations because of her stupidity, Xiu isn't one to be blue for too long. She may get sad about something serious for like, a few days or maybe even a month if it's really that bad. But after that, she's usually ready to jump right back up again and be okay. She's very emotionally resilient when it comes to emotional matters and not much can faze her or bring her down.

Abilities

As a Zeta, Xiu has the power to freeze items and people. In her case, she doesn’t even need to touch anything to activate her abilities and can use them just by looking at what she wants to freeze. She’s extremely powerful as a Zeta Floss.

However, she has almost no control over what she can do. She has this habit of accidentally freezing things without her even knowing it sometimes, though this will usually always happen with touch only, not with any of her other senses. She can control her powers just fine if she were to use them with her mind or with thoughtful glances, but she can’t do the same when it comes to touch. The strength and intensity behind her cold is there, but it’s very sloppy overall.

Backstory

Xiu was born and raised in the Alpha Clan for most of her life. During her time there, she actually lived a pretty boring, average, and uneventful life. Though then again, maybe that was to be expected since her parents were both simple Zeta accountants who didn't need much.

As a kid, she actually went to a military school because it was the only school that was close to her in distance, but she had always felt like an outcast over there since her peers were mostly Alphas who were usually super into fitness, health, and/or vigorous physical training. She couldn't relate to them (or keep up) and became isolated as a result.

It's because of this that she tried so hard to make things more exciting for herself as she grew older. When she was a teenager, Xiu eventually joined a band that would be known as The Comets. And oh boy, though they had their fun, once most of the members had graduated away, The Comets crashed hard and hit rock bottom. They all disbanded by the time Xiu barely passed high school, since she was the last remaining member at the time anyway.

Eventually, Xiu's parents decided to move back into their childhood town in the Zeta region a couple of years after her high school graduation. She used to work at a McDonald's back then since she couldn't handle college.

Hell, she still works at another McDonald's now in the Zeta region, but she also works part-time as a Petpet Cafe employee as well, so that's less sad at least.

And that’s what she’s been doing with her life so far. Xiu is still super into music and with playing her guitar, but it’s not like she can go big with her alright skills. She still doesn’t know what to do with her life and might be complacent enough to work at McDonald’s for the rest of her life.

(She’s always been self-aware of the fact that she had never been the smartest kid in school and doesn’t expect her future to get any brighter than this.)

Other

Because she usually lacks control of her own ice powers when it comes to touch, whenever Xiu has to work, she’ll sometimes where mittens or gloves to help prevent any frozen accidents. This is especially crucial whenever she’s handling the Petpets at the animal cafe she works at.

Xiu’s had to repeat a grade during her high school days before. She was a year behind her original graduation plan.

She can’t sing for shit. She’s always off-key every time she even tries.
