Personal Stuff
-Personality:
Arthur comes off as your typical nice kid at first glance: obedient, polite, studious and gallant. He truly is all of these, but he also has a more hidden side which he shows only with close friends. Especially with his best friend Finnian, he can be seen carefree and showing his inner forever-teenage idiot self, saying even inappropriate jokes and the like. He has proven ever since a kid to have a brilliant mind, and to him always came natural studying and learning, but he enjoys also "field experience" as well. Cares deeply about his loved ones and tends to be very protective, but wouldn't really blindly jump into danger, preferring a safe strategy first. Tries to stick to rules as much as he can, he has a quite worrisome nature (hindered by his curiosity though, wouldn't mind going around -not against- rules for something he wants to know).
Often tries to create frindships with girls as well, but especially for the time it was considered as romantic interest so he quickly gave up, being content with just Gwendolyn as female friend. He's actually quite popular with girls, something his father finds amusing and "all inherited from him".
Despite he has some pride in his heritage and personal accomplishments, he hates when people favor him or expect a lot from him only because he's Godric's son.
He's an independent person, but works very well in groups.

-Story:
Arthur was born from a secret affair between Godric and Rowena, which was actually a real loving relationship rather than a simple fling. However, Rowena was a married woman (she deeply resented her marriage, a combined one as customs of the time, and she didn't even feel like a mother to Helena due to this, causing Helena to hate her as she grew up), so the two lovers kept everything a secret within Hogwarts' newly-built walls.
When Rowena realized to be pregnant, she claimed an illness, retiring in a secluded area no one really knew to "have a swift recovery", and nobody really heard of her for 4-5 years. Godric and Helga were really worried, as the only two Founders left (Salazar left a couple years before Rowena's "illness"), so they were overjoyed when the Ravenclaw lady made her comeback. Of course, Godric came to know about his now 4 y/o son, and was initially very upset with his lover for not telling him anything. In the end, they agreed to let Arthur be raised by Godric alone, claiming him as a son from one of Godric's many short affairs whose mother couldn't take care for, but because of living all together at Hogwarts Rowena did slip some motherly care here and there.
Arthur was able to read, write and control magic way before others his age, which granted him access to Hogwarts one year early, and end up sharing some classes with his best friend Finnian, and Reina as well. Unlike the twins, Finnian had spent much of his pre-school time living at Hogwarts, and coupled with the fact his mother was the one to plan the castle, he's probably the student who know it better than others. That led Arthur and Fin (and at times, Reina would tag along) to often get in trouble with their explorations, but also to improve themselves a lot to get out of said troubles.
By his last year, Arthur is struggling between thinking on what to do as a career once out of school, and whether to propose to Reina or not; that however, is short lived as his dear mother Rowena dies. Arthur tries to rationalize the thing, as he knew his mother was already ill, but can't help but blame his half-sister Helena for that. He did try to search for her, but he eventually gave up and never knew that she had died too.

----Godric Griffyndor: father, he adores and respects him but is sometimes annoyed by his lack of respect for rules, impulsiveness, and public/childish affection display towards him. Also a bit afraid of all the father/son bonding sessions because it usually involves reaching a dangerous place in who-knows-where to tame a dragon or something along that stuff.
----Rowena Ravenclaw: mother, had always been aware of the situation he was born in even as a child, but never judged her for it. Holds a great deal of admiration and respect for her, and just wishes he could have spent more time with her before her death. He puts more effort into making his mother proud rather than his father.
----Helena Ravenclaw: older step sister, never had contact with her (and actually feared it) because he's aware she's his mother legitimate child, and he's afraid Helena may realize he's an illegitimate if she pays attention to him. Is also kind of envious/angry at her, for having the privilege of growing with his mother yet seeing Helena despising Rowena.
-Other Relations:
----Finnian Slytherin: knew each other since childhood (even before starting school, thanks to Helga), and are the best of friends. They are at those kind of closeness that they don't get offended at throwing insulting jokes at one other (they have an inside joke in which Fin is a damsel in distress, and Arthur "her" knight in shining armor), but still have a deep respect and consider themselves as soul brothers. This is made a bit difficult by the hatred bewtween their fathers, but they still try to go against that and see each other whenever, even outside Hogwarts. Arthur would definetely give his life for Fin.
----Reina Slytherin: at first only knew her as his best friend's sister, but then with spending more time together (often to save Fin's ass) he developed a major -unrequited- crush on her.
----Gwendolyn Slytherin: basically started out as his babysitter, being the little sister of his best friend in his same house. Over time, the two genuinely bonded though, and are good friends. Arthur worries a lot for Gwen, switches between following her in her crazy adventures and preventing her from making stupid things (basically almost like with Fin, lmao)
----Salazar Slytherin: Arthur personally doesn't have anything against Salazar (he actually tries to gain his respect both to keep staying at Fin's side, and to be an acceptable suitor for Reina), and like-wise, Salazar doesn't hold anything against the boy and he does appreciate some of his qualities and Rowena as his mother, but still, the cracks between him and Godric prevent the two to have a good relationship.

-Random Facts:
---since age isn't set as it depends by RP, age differences are: 1 year younger than Reina and Finnian, 4 years older than Gwendolyn and 11 years older than Cerin.
---Brainard is his real name, the one which Rowena gave him (means "raven prince"), but Godric thought it sounded too ugly ("brain nerd" in modern AUs) and so upon taking custody of him, renamed the kid Arthur, keeping Brainard just as middle name.
---he is an Animagus; his animal form is a black lion, but struggles a bit with transformation still, and it may happen to him to return back to human shape, and still have a lion tail or ears. Constantly rants about being an adolescent without a mane.
---is aware of how stupidly prideful and attached to stuff like "signature colors" his parents are, so when he dresses up in mainly the color of one parent, always wears a gem pendant of the color of the other (at exception of when in his uniform, doesn't like wearing fancy clothes and/or jewellry in class).
---he has several scars across his body, both from the aforementioned father/son times and personal experiences (which include saving Gwen, or even Fin, from trouble)
