Design Notes

• The gold "markings" on her snout and neck are scars. Her blood is also gold.
• The markings on her legs are asymmetrical.
• Her left ear has a triangular notch in it.

Very determined, headstrong, and loyal. She is chaotic, loud, and jovial with those she is close with, but makes for a well-composed ruler in the presence of her subjects. Her confidence levels are much too high for her own good.

Interior Queen of the StreamWings. Received her scars in her fight with her mother for the throne.

[Old info from StreamWings species page, needs some revamp] Queen Tetra was born into the interior royal family and raised within the palace by her mother, the previous interior queen, and her father. She spent the majority of her life within the royal palace training for her eventual role as queen (being an only child) among other things her parents had her participate in. Most notably, she spent time with a private instructor of a high ranking in the StreamWing military learning how to fight. She herself chose to take part in this due to the generally laid-back attitude of her family which only dealt with matters within the tribe. She is proficient with a sword and well-capable of defending herself as she wished to be able to when she was younger. As Tetra matured into a young adult, her mother grew tired of her role as queen and Tetra inherited the throne the traditional way: by challenging and killing her mother in a fight between the two—she won easily due to her training.

Skillset

• Sword Proficiency: Tetra has been trained in the art of sword fighting. She is mostly proficient with her left hand but is able to use her right hand in a pinch.

Natural Abilities

• Aquatic Respiration: Tetra has the ability to breathe underwater due to the gills she possesses. Her webbed talons, sail, and powerful tail make her an especially good swimmer. However, she cannot dive too deep, and usually sticks to coral reefs and other shallow areas of the ocean while underwater.
• Aquatic Vision: Tetra has an extra transparent set of eyelids that she shuts while swimming, providing her specialized vision while underwater. Unlike SeaWings, she does not have the ability to see well in the dark.
• Echolocation: In addition to her specialized aquatic vision, Tetra can use echolocation to find her way while underwater. She often uses this ability while swimming at night or in dark, unlit areas due to her lack of night vision, and is additionally able to use it in conjunction with Whistle/Signal to communicate over long distances underwater.
