Main Game OC

This character is based off the trainer in my Pokemon videogames, so their birthday is the day I've began the game and such things like Pokemon team, Gym accomplishments and some story events are based on real in-game stuff; please respect that, they're not meant to replace the canon protagonists in any way.

Personality

Aida has always shown, even since she was a young kid, to be a very clever and cunning person. She learned to read, count and write way before the other kids her age, and has always been the "A+" kid. She doesn't consider herself as "superior" nor does brag about her talent; she believes her results are the standard for those who work hard, and that everyone could reach them. To her it's not about being the best, but about fulfilling your duties.
She has always been the introverted and quiet type anyways, so never liked being the center of attention or having contacts with others. Yes, she was always nice and friendly with anyone, but nobody won her trust enough to be called a "friend".
She's also a very organized person, and likes keeping everything neat, in order, and pre-planned. That's also what her Trainer's belief is based off, and everything she does is because of strategy. Even her Pokémon team has been pre-planned (she even went so far as to pre-plan the teams of all her children), and kept in it only those she knew were to going in the final party (so that's why Riza was the only one for a while, and became over-leveled). Doesn't like impulsive or dangerous moves, is the type that, if her Pokémon had only 1HP but with a single attack would knock out the opponent...would rather take no risks and heal her Pokémon instead of blowing the final hit.
In fact, she's also a very careful person ("better safe than sorry", she says) and ponders about decisions for long times, until she's definetely sure. That's also why it's hard to earn her trust, she is very careful when opening to others.
Dislikes falling to emotions who may put aside her rational thinking, because she's afraid to do something she would regret, and is also afraid of things she can't understand (like falling in love for the first time).
Despite not being really a funny person, she likes to pull off sarcasm quite often, and she uses this sarcasm also to reply to people who wanna mess up with her, to show they're not hurting her.
Contrasting her more "nerdy" personality, she is very curious and has a huge interest for exploration. To her studying on books is just a preparation for the real experiences, the ones which really teach you something, to be able to face them at the best of her abilities. Even if she hates getting dirt she wouldn't mind doing so if it was for exploration's sake.

History

Aida was born in Pewter city during the "Old Kanto" (pre-FR/LF) period. Her father was a fossil researcher and her mother was a very overprotective person (Aida being their only child and all), so in order to both give their daughter a higher-ranked instruction and avoid the dangers of a Pokémon Trainer life, Aida kept frequenting regular school and at the age of 15 was sent to study at the Pokémon Technical Facility (seen in the Pokémon anime) and so never started her Trainer journey like any other kid of her age. She was happy that way though, because she knew that, at the times, being a Pokémon female Trainer of such a young age was dangereous, and many girls were never heard from again.***
At the age of 18 Aida graduated from Pokémon Tech, and although graduating meant she could qualify for the League without having any badge, she decided she would finally start her own journey to win the badges and extend her knowledge with facts instead of words on books.

Short after starting her adventure, she met Ash, Argento, and some other people from Mt.Silver's mansion, who were visiting Viridian City. They befriended each other, and Aida quickly became part of the group, although she had (and still has) problems integrating herself due to her low socializing skills. Being both from Old Kanto and hispanics, Ash soon caught her attention and they began some sort of friendly rivalry; Aida would do her best to impress Ash, they talked together, and laughed and argued a lot. At times, Aida didn't know if she had to like Ash, or hate him because of his troll-ish attitude.

As they got closer, it arrived time for the Mt.Silver's group to do their traditional annual summer vacation all together, at Argento's hometown on the beach. During the boat trip, Ash had some problems with Aida, because it was a delicate time relationship-wise; he was flirting with both her and Larin at the same time. Aida knew that Larin was a very close friend of Ash since a long time, and that they have had a "friendship with benefits" relationship, but still couldn't help feeling something for Ash, thus trying to neglect any sort of affection acts with him until the situation would clarify. Ash and Larin still heavily flirted from time to time, but had also some arguements as of recently. Furthermore, a rich young man named Stephan was travelling with them and was clearly trying to hit on Aida (Ione fell in love with Stephan's Flareon, Chérie, thus making things difficult for Aida because he always wanted to stay around Stephan for his beloved one).
At the end of the boat trip, Ash had finally made up his mind and asked Aida out, sure she was the one his heart was truly yearning for. Aida at first didn't consider the relationship anything serious, and expected it to be finished in a matter of months...but then it quickly got deeper, until Ash proposed to her.

They were engaged for a couple years, and got married when Aida was 21-22. After a couple years Aida became a scientist/researcher specialized in Pokémon fossils, working at the rebuilt facility in Cinnabar Island (though occasionally helping her husband in his job, what he calls "Glitch Hunting"), the couple talked about having children, and here Aida started having anxiety problems. In fact, she has a huge fear of childbirth, and as much as she wanted to have kids she just couldn't bear the idea to give birth to a child. Afraid to tell this to Ash, she constantly assumed anti-pregnancy pills without him knowing for more than an year. At this point, Ash thought they weren't able to have chlidren, and so started contemplating adoption, much to Aida's relief.

They adopted a Japanese boy, Shiyunn****, who had probably experienced some kind of trauma with his previous family/ies (the typical horror movie kid who keeps changing families because of causing creepy happenings basically). After experiencing being a mother, Aida overcame a bit her fears and got pregnant, giving birth to Dante (though her pregnancy was probably poor Ash's  worst period xD); a few years after, they decided to adopt another child (which we still need to name). This one though, had many health problems, mainly memory loss and sight problems, along with inability to move by herself (needed a wheelchair or stayed in the bed all time), so Aida decided to travel all the way to Unova with the baby (accompanied also by Kristy and R.J., while Argento helped Ash taking care of the home and kids) to give her some proper medical care*****.
Now their daughter can freely move, but still has short/close-sight and memory problems.

That's the end of Aida's current story; as of now, I either RP as/use her during her dating/engagement period, or past their daughter's medical trip. Any questions, feel free to ask!

*Notes!
*Really happened in-game, I was training Riza (Charmeleon), when some pixels under her eye "dropped" in a line which seemed like tears. After I disregarded that (and even scolded her because she was missing attacks... yeah, I talk with mah 'mons while playing xD) during another battle her eye became totally black, with only one colored pixel in the middle. I dropped the GBA and screamed at my sister I would never touch the game again, lol xD (after sending my Blue game to get cleaned up and replace the battery -without erasing save file-, no more graphic glitches occured).
**Another in-game experience, I wanted to get a shiny Ditto in Crystal, so I just needed to perform the "Red Gyarados VS Ditto" glitch in Blue to have one. While I was at it I also checked all my Blue Pokémon team genders and...surprise! xD
***That's because you can't be a female player character in R/B/G/Y; also, in Pokémon Special (the official Pokémon manga based off the videogames), we can see poor Red beaten up by the E4 upon winning against them (seriously? Can't they accept defeat? Red was risking to DIE), and many other dangerous things, and considering also all the glitches/creepy things it had my opinion is that the "Old Kanto" was a very risky place xD
****Me and my sister bought a used copy of Pokémon Green, and the character in the previous file was named "Shiyunn", with a Squirtle and a Pikachu. We decided to keep the save file (which we're continuing as of today, but playing in jap. is HARD xD) and have him as adoptive son of our "Old Kanto" couple <3 Why creepy? Because of creepy-ass japanese sprites + original Lavender Town music xD
*****I was looking on eBay for a japanese Pokémon Red (because I needed something to trade with Green to prove if the Mew/truck event was false or not xD) and found an used copy sold by a spanish user. It was destiny. The game was labelled as in good condition, but it was actually horrible. It wouldn't even start up. It got me and my sis 5 days just to be able to get to the "New Game" screen. Of course I contacted the user, and got a full refund. With that I was able to buy the services of another eBay user, who was able to change batteries and also did a full clean up of the cartridge included in price. I sent along with Red also Blue (Aida), Crystal (Kristy) and Silver (R.J.) because he was able to change batteries without damaging the save file and my games are very old, I'm surprised they weren't dead yet xD Long story short, the game was SO messed up that he couldn't totally fix it, he said it seemed it has been drown or something. It is playable now, but the in-battle sprites are unviewable (so the kid has short sight problems) and won't save even with a new battery. He told me though he had a similar case once, and that the owner managed to resume the ability to save upon playing the game very much, so there's still hope. Oh and yeah, Unova=USA xD

Trivia

  • She has a personal rule about naming Pokémon, and she always gives names of four letters; no more, no less.
  • Ash and Aida actually did meet more than once as kids; in fact Ash had the habit of constantly visiting the backroom of Pewter City's Museum, often talking with Aida's father without knowing he was actually her father. Aida was often at work with her dad to learn more, either with him or in the museum's backyard; so they often saw each other, but actually never talked.
  • Since she comes from the old Pokémon Blue, which uses only the male sprite (plus the fact that Aida is quite "flat" ;3), Ash has taken the habit to refer to her as "chico" ("guy"/"male kid" in Spanish), which bothers Aida to no end.
  • Her favorite Pokémon type is Rock/Ground. She always dreamed to have a Golem and/or a Rhydon, but wouldn't want a team made of just one type, so she gave preference to her beloved fossils for the Rock/Ground element of her party. Her second favorite type is Water.
  • Is a pretty athletic girl, and trains/practice sports often to keep her body toned and fit for adventuring. As she says, "mens sana in corpore sano".
  • She likes using famous quotes or traditional sayings in her speech.
  • Despite Riza being her starter and Rion and Kiri being her top-fav Pokémon species, she actually got more attached to Ione, even though she still tries to love equally every member of her team.
  • Her necklace is a gift from her father, and it's an unknown fossil piece (similar to Ancient Amber material/look-wise). This is what sparked in her the wish to be a fossil researcher, so that she could someday discover what that fossil is.

Ash Jaime | best friend/lover/husband

Started off as a mutual interest because they're both Spanish and from old Kanto, then developed into a hate/friendship relationship, and ultimately they fell in love (getting married as well). They make sure to be not just lovers, but also best friends, so they trust each other, can talk about anything, and even often jokingly argue/mock each other without any consequence. Ash also taught Aida to loose up a bit and have fun, along with the wonders of glitches xD He is also the only one to make Aida easily flustered (either in anger or embarassment).

Argento | friend

Was pretty wary of him when they first met, because he looked so unnaturally friendly and overly happy to give her creeps xD As of now she does like him because of his gentle and sincere personality, but she still has an undertone jealousy for him because of his closeness to Ash. During their teenage years, was even conviced the two had some affair, especially after walking into awkward moments between the boys xD Nonetheless, he's still considered as part of her family, being considered by their kids as an official uncle and whatnot.

Maybe don't write a book here. You can but it might look a lil funky. Quisque quis sagittis dui. Sed sed pellentesque ex. Aliquam quis metus ac ligula gravida mattis ultricies non dolor. Nam augue velit, ultrices vitae vestibulum sed, dignissim eu tortor.
