Miyuki Miyabe

Personality

Miyuki generally comes off as quiet at first glance. She doesn’t start conversations much unless she’s in the mood, and even then it won’t be with someone she doesn’t know in the slightest. However even after getting to know her she’s not exactly the most out there. She does enjoy having a conversation with someone she knows, but she isn’t one to go out on rambles (even if she wishes to at times) and tries to hold herself back and allow for the other person to talk more most of the time. She is certainly more of an introvert, and will have moments where she wishes to be on her own. Miyuki is also someone who is rather emotional, and even though she does try to hide how she feels, this doesn’t work out too well because her flames will reveal quicker than anyone can question. This generally really lead to her trying to avoid others at all costs in these times as she tends to really close herself off in these situations. But when she is in a better mood, she’s all for being around others, even if she sits quietly enjoying others’ presences around her. Despite how she tries to be when she is extremely happy she has moments where can just burst out talking about whatever is excited her (even though she will regret it quickly afterwards).

Backstory

Since Miyuki was young, she had been well aware of her ability. However at the time she was not very good at controlling it at all, and the more the fires happened, the more her mother became scared of her. Eventually her mother had decided in order to try and make the flames stop, she would just have to create situations where it couldn’t happen. At first it was simple: as Miyuki’s body was pretty much always warmer than average, she figured putting her in a old environment would work. She locked Miyuki in the coldest room in the house during winter, without giving her anything to keep her warm. However instead of it working it just ended in Miyuki causing a fire in the room to try and keep warm. She tried a few more times, but each ended in the same result (eventually leading to Miyuki getting sick though afterwards). After that failure, her mother began to take a new approach. Every time the girl started any sort of flame, even the smallest, she forced her into a thing of water and held her down in it until the fire went away. This worked rather well for her mother, until one day, nearly on the brink of drowning, Miyuki’s body became covered in flames, effectively catching her mother on fire as well. This gave Miyuki the chance to run out while she could. For a while she found herself wandering on her own. It is unsure how much time Miyuki spent on her before joining Port Mafia, however it is safe to guess it was for a while as she had grown rather malnourished at the time.

• Her flames will flare up with her emotions (ex. sparks happening when she's happy, flames covering her when she's upset).
• Loves dancing and uses it to find new ways to fight with her flames, but will never casually dance in front of others.
• Chews on her bottom lip when nervous and/or worried.
